Jack Black and Kevin Hart Confirmed for Jumanji Remake

This remake is just filling its ranks with more and more talented actors. Just today Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced on his Instagram that Jack Black and Kevin Hart will be joining him in the Jumanji remake set to hit theaters July 28th, 2017.

In his post, The Rock proudly stated: IT’S OFFICIAL: An ol’ friend is ready to play in the world of #JUMANJI… JACK (mf’n) BLACK. Been a big fan of his work over the years. A brilliant actor who I’m confident will turn in a performance of a lifetime for JUMANJI. (when we reveal his character you’ll understand;). In our reimagining of the story of JUMANJI, Jack brings that rare balance of cool with funny and edge with childlike joy. The “Jumanji Breakfast Club” is coming together.. myself, Jack (mf’n) Black and Kevin Hart. Two big roles left. One bad ass girl. One semi-sorta bad ass dude. Who will they be… this is gonna be fun. #JUMANJI#WelcomesJackBlack #JustPressStart #TheGameThatPlaysYou

So if what star and executive producer The Rock is speaking is the truth, then we have at least two more casting announcements to look out for. Considering the way The Rock words some of this, it kind of sounds like The Rock has some people in mind for these last two roles. Whether they are unknowns or well-knowns I am curious to see.

Not much is know about the plot to this film but The Rock has stated that this film will pay tribute to Robin Williams’ character in the original movie. It is currently unclear if any characters from the 1995 classic will be in the remake. So what do you think? Are you hopeful for the remake or fearful that The Rock and Hart will screw it up? Talk about it in the comments and don’t forget to like, share and follow Sprom for more news on this and other things in the world of movies.

The Jumaji remake comes to theaters July 28th, 2017 and will be directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher).
