“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Remake gets pushed back

Christmas is a magical time. With the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you be of good cheer! But it seems the Christmas of 2017 won’t be the hap-happiest season of all. Or maybe it will be. Depends on how you take this news. Illumination’s take on the Christmas classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas has been pushed back a whole year. The film was originally dated for November 10th, 2017 but it’s release now lies on November 9th, 2018.
This is said to be a new take on the original tale. Will it be welcomed by lovers of the 1966 mqdefaultclassic? Only time will tell, but I can’t help but be worried. Illumination is the studio behind the Despicable Me franchise and it’s spin-off Minions. And don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed those movies (well some more than others) but they’re no How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Even the other Seuss property they’ve done, that being The Lorax, was not to the caliber of HTGSC. the original, not the Jim Carrey version. It was great but this is one property I’d love to be untouchable.
But what do you think? Is the Grinch just waiting to be voiced by Ben Cumberbatch? Or are you on team untouchable?  Talk about it in the comments and don’t forget to like, share, and follow Sprom for more news on the How the Grinch Stole Christmas remake and other things in the world of movie news.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas comes to theaters November 9th, 2018.
